The combined key enables matching records only when both the address and name are similar, providing higher-precision deduplication and record linkage than matching on either field alone. Individual similarity keys for the address and name are also returned.

Records generating the same combined similarity key share both a similar address and a similar individual name, and are likely the same person at the same location. Note in the example above that "James Kelly" at "100 Main St" matches "Jim Kelley" at "100 Main Street", but "James Kelly" at "500 Oak Drive" produces a different key because the address differs. This combined approach significantly reduces false positives compared to matching on name or address alone.

The address component uses the model-v3-wide algorithm for AI-powered address standardization with wide matching (street number and street name, ignoring unit numbers for broader matching).
