Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Interzoid collects, uses, processes, and protects information in connection with our websites, APIs, data quality tools, data matching services, enrichment services, integrations, applications, and related services.

This Privacy Policy applies to Interzoid Inc. ("Interzoid," "we," "our," or "us") and to users of our websites, APIs, applications, browser-based tools, batch tools, documentation, integrations, and related services. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through Interzoid products and services, including:

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Services. We may collect the following categories of information:

3. How We Use Information

We use information to provide, operate, secure, support, and improve the Services. Depending on your use of the Services, we may use information to:

4. Customer-Provided Data and Processing

Interzoid processes Customer-Provided Data to perform the specific service requested by the user, such as generating similarity keys, standardizing values, validating data, enriching data, producing match reports, or returning API responses.

For many API-based services, Customer-Provided Data is processed in real time or near real time. Interzoid does not use Customer-Provided Data for advertising or consumer profiling.

"Enrichment Data" means information that the Services return to you which is derived from third-party data sources, licensed data, public data, artificial intelligence systems, machine learning systems, external APIs, or Interzoid Technology, rather than from the data you submitted. Examples include official or standardized organization names, corrected or formatted values, appended attributes, classifications, scores, and related descriptive information returned in an API response, match report, or other Service Output.

Enrichment Data is generated in response to your request and returned to you. Interzoid does not use Enrichment Data to build, sell, or distribute consumer profiles, and does not use Enrichment Data for advertising or consumer profiling.

Interzoid may retain limited operational records, logs, metadata, usage information, request information, error information, security information, or support-related information as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, monitor, improve, and support the Services; enforce usage limits and terms; maintain business records; and comply with legal obligations.

The Services are intended for business data quality, matching, standardization, validation, and enrichment workflows. You should not submit protected health information, payment card data, government identification numbers, biometric information, children's personal information, credentials, or other restricted categories of data unless Interzoid has expressly agreed in writing that the applicable Service is designed to process that data. Restricted data categories are described in Interzoid's Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Interzoid's Role as Controller and Processor

Interzoid's role under data protection laws depends on the type of information involved.

For Customer-Provided Data that you submit to the Services for processing, you generally act as the controller or business, and Interzoid generally acts as a processor or service provider acting on your instructions. You determine what data is submitted, why it is submitted, and how Service Outputs are used. Interzoid processes that data to perform the requested Service and for the limited operational purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Enrichment Data returned to you becomes part of your records once delivered. You determine whether to store, combine, distribute, or act on Enrichment Data within your own systems, and you act as the controller or business with respect to that use. Your obligations regarding Enrichment Data, including the restrictions in Interzoid's Acceptable Use Policy, apply to Enrichment Data in the same way they apply to Service Outputs generally.

For account information, contact information, billing information, website information, support communications, and API and product usage information, Interzoid generally acts as a controller and processes that information to operate its business and the Services as described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, the United Kingdom GDPR, or a similar law applies to Interzoid's processing of personal information, Interzoid relies on the following legal bases:

7. Third-Party Data Sources, AI Systems, and Enrichment Services

Some Interzoid Services may use, connect to, or return information derived from third-party data sources, artificial intelligence systems, machine learning systems, external APIs, licensed data providers, public data sources, Customer-Provided Data, or other external sources. Information returned from these sources is Enrichment Data as described in Section 4.

When a Service uses third-party data sources, AI systems, or external services to generate or enrich results, information submitted to that Service may be processed as necessary to provide the requested result. Interzoid uses such processing to deliver the requested Service and not for advertising or unrelated consumer profiling.

Interzoid does not control all third-party data sources, AI systems, external APIs, data providers, cloud platforms, or marketplaces that may be used with or connected to the Services. Third-party services may have their own privacy practices, terms, security controls, availability, and data handling requirements.

8. Integrations and Third-Party Platforms

The Services may be accessed through, integrated with, or made available in connection with third-party platforms, data warehouses, cloud providers, marketplaces, workflow tools, productivity applications, and other third-party environments, including platforms such as Snowflake, Supabase, and other PostgreSQL, cloud, and data platform environments.

When you configure or authorize an integration, Interzoid may process information made available through that integration to provide the requested Service. You are responsible for configuring your third-party platform permissions, credentials, roles, data access settings, network settings, security controls, and integration settings.

Third-party platforms and marketplaces may collect, process, store, or transmit information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Interzoid is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third-party platforms that are outside Interzoid's control.

9. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Interzoid does not sell Customer-Provided Data for advertising purposes. We may share or disclose information in the following circumstances:

10. Data Retention

Interzoid retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts, process billing, support customers, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, secure the Services, and improve operations.

Customer-Provided Data submitted for API processing may be processed transiently for the requested Service. Enrichment Data is generated in response to a request and returned to the requesting customer, and Interzoid does not retain it as a customer-specific record beyond what is described in this Privacy Policy. Interzoid may retain limited logs, metadata, usage records, security records, error records, and support records as described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may vary depending on the Service used, the type of information, legal requirements, operational needs, security requirements, and any applicable written agreement.

11. Security

Interzoid uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the Services. These safeguards may include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, logging, and other security measures appropriate to the nature of the Services.

No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, API keys, passwords, account access, third-party platform credentials, integration settings, and systems that connect to the Services.

If Interzoid becomes aware of a security incident affecting the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of personal information processed through the Services, Interzoid will notify affected customers without undue delay and as required by applicable law, and will provide information reasonably available to Interzoid to help those customers meet their own notification obligations.

12. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Interzoid Services generate similarity keys, match results, standardized values, validation results, Enrichment Data, scores, and classifications. These outputs are informational and are returned to the customer that requested them. Interzoid does not use Service Outputs or Enrichment Data to make automated decisions producing legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning individuals, and does not use Customer-Provided Data or Enrichment Data for advertising or consumer profiling.

Enrichment Data may be incomplete, outdated, approximate, or inaccurate, and may be derived from sources Interzoid does not control. It is provided to support data quality and business workflows, and is not verified against any individual and not represented as an authoritative record about any person or organization.

Customers are responsible for how they use Service Outputs and Enrichment Data in their own systems and decisions. Interzoid's Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy prohibit the use of Service Outputs or Enrichment Data to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, education, government benefits, or healthcare, and for other purposes that would cause them to be treated as consumer reports.

13. Cookies and Website Analytics

Interzoid websites may use cookies, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies to operate the website, understand usage, improve performance, prevent abuse, and support marketing or business operations.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

14. Your Choices and Requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to request portability of certain information.

To make a privacy request, contact Interzoid at support@interzoid.com. We may need to verify your identity and account relationship before fulfilling a request. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where applicable law permits, and we may require verification of the agent's authority. Interzoid will respond within the period required by applicable law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

If your personal information was submitted to the Services by an Interzoid customer as part of Customer-Provided Data, or appears in Enrichment Data returned to an Interzoid customer, Interzoid generally acts as a processor or service provider for that data. In those cases, please direct your request to the customer that submitted the data. If you contact Interzoid directly, we will refer the request to the applicable customer where we are able to identify them, and will assist that customer as required by applicable law and any agreement with them.

15. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may provide certain rights regarding personal information. Depending on how you interact with Interzoid and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, these rights may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain information about certain personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Interzoid does not sell Customer-Provided Data for advertising purposes. If Interzoid determines that any activity constitutes a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable California privacy law, Interzoid will provide any required notice and opt-out mechanism.

16. International Users and Data Transfers

Interzoid is based in the United States. If you access or use the Services from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where Interzoid, its service providers, or third-party providers operate. These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a jurisdiction that has not received an adequacy decision, Interzoid relies on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum, together with technical and organizational measures appropriate to the transfer.

Where a signed data processing agreement is in place between you and Interzoid, that agreement governs Interzoid's processing of personal information contained in Customer-Provided Data, and this Privacy Policy continues to describe Interzoid's practices generally.

17. Children

The Services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to children. Interzoid does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Interzoid may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted on the Interzoid website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
